so im done smoking it was at $8 a pack and i decided to stop. i picked up an ecig. from puresmoker.com. it pretty good. but also to really hold me over is i picked up camel snus. my idea is to use the camel snus twice a day to really hold me over. I am stoping using it after the first tin is gone. and then its jsut the ecig.:wave:

I have quit for 11 weeks now.
I used the patch for a week, but then forgot for a day. I didn't notice any difference between having one on and not, so I stopped putting them on after that point.

I read a book that seemed to help....can't remember the name, i'll look at it when i get home and update....

Hell yeah. I went cold turkey about a week after DvC quit, and never touched that sh1t again. Throw away all that Snus/Ecig trash!

Go cold turkey, and test your will. If it's your first time i wish you good luck!

I quit cold turkey a few years back. I used the patch and gum for about a week. Didn't change anything for me. I had more of a mental craving than anything even though I smoked 1-2 packs a day for a couple years.

I used toothpicks and gum a lot to help.

i still have hardcore cravings.

I am glad to see you are quitting. I have quit smoking kokmeat cigars for the past 2yrs. It was hard in the beginning, but I beat it. Keep it up.

To satisfy the oral side of it make your wife/gf/so really really happy for a few weeks. :bigthumb:

Dude i think it's the nastiest sh1t in the world now. Especially when you hear/see/smell those nasty a$$ chainsmokers who sound like they have a damn duck call in their throat when they talk and walk around all smelly.

good luck. ive stopped since a few months now using the e-cig. now im down to now nicotine so its just for those times i feel like puffing. i also chew through a pack of 5 elixir gum every day or two.

best advice i can give, is treat it like its a real smoke. dont be afraid to use the shiit out of it at first, the cartridges wont last long that way but before long youll be able to cool down some. step down nicotine levels when you are ready. what i did was smoke 2 boxes of high nicotine, then went to medium until that gut feeling you get when you "NEED" one stopped coming and then i stepped to low. after that it was pretty easy to step down to none.

also, stay away from bars for a good while. as good as that thing is, when you smell a real one or start to drink it just wont taste the same and it gets too easy to slip.

good going with the not smoking decision. I smoked from age 16 till about age 21, was up to 2-1/2 packs a day. I started working for a company that did not like smokers, so I just quit cold turkey and never looked back.
