Brembo Brakes on Caliber SRT-4?

Hi guys,

Totally new to this kind of thing but I was wondering... has anyone here tried to change the brakes on the Caliber SRT-4 to Brembo brakes similar to what is on the Charger SRT-8? Is this even possible?

What would you have to do to change the entire brake system over to something made by Brembo? I was just looking at my car today and was kind of angry that Dodge sort of cheaped out on us by putting the Charger police package brakes on the front, and Avenger brakes on the rear.

I thought it would be a LOT nicer if there were nice red Brembo brake calipers on our car with slotted rotors like the SRT8's. Plus, I think I remember the magazines saying our braking distances weren't exactly the MOST impressive out there.

Any suggestions? Possible prices?

I'm pretty happy with the stopping power.......I think it would be a waste of money for brembos

Race pads+slotted rotors= :bigthumb:

Our brakes are about the same size as the Neon Brembo kit. We just don't have four pot calipers. However if you have a way of removing heat from the brakes efficiently you will no longer suffer brake fade. Bigger diameter rotors dissapate heat better, they do not decrease stopping times. The Caliber's brakes outstop it's tires, buy better tires and you will stop faster.

I think that the Stopping Power of our Brakes is more than enough, plus they maybe put cheaper brake for us but replacement of the Brake in the Future won't cost an Arm and a Leg. I think one of my Buddy with is STI replace them and it cost him like 500$ only for the Pads!

Just paint Brembo on your current brakes. You'll have the look you want and still have great stopping power. The new lettering will help dissipate heat.

I think there is a Canadian member "mikeski" or something that installed srt8 brembo brakes on the caliber. They will not fit with the OEM wheels, so you'll need to change your wheels also.

Look in the FS section, he was selling the wheels, tires and brakes for dirt cheap!
