So, 2 days after I park my car for the winter the used stage 1 i bought shows up. After staring at it all winter I finally went to have it installed 2day. After pacing like an expectant father all day, I go to pick it up and am told..... cant do it :icon_flaming::icon_flaming::icon_flaming:. I showed the tech the instructions of this site and he claims to have done all this. He says he gets a code stating ECM mismatch with SKIM. Could someone please tell me if its likely he screwed up. He also calimes to have disconected the battery after the attempted install.

Oh yeah, then they slip me the $180.00 bill:fight:

Go back and tell him he is a retard...

You need to get a PIN for your car so he can flash it into the PCM. I believe you can even get that number from Roadside Assistance or something like that I forget.

so, the dodge tec musta lied about unplugging the battery after updating the PCM. I plugged it back in and it works just fine. I think I'm gonna need new tires soon though lol :boink::boink::boink::boink::boink:

Thank God... I thought I was going to have to make another post calling a "Tech" an idiot.... but I guess I still can call your "Tech" an idiot.

So he claimed to have followed my directions... and even disconnected the battery... and the PCM swap didn't work... so you disconnected the battery and now the PCM swap went gravy!!!! What a schmuck "Tech".

In the long run... I'm glad the instructions worked for you... but you need to find a new dealer "Tech".

No need. This tech is just another example of why I do everything myself whenever possible. I guess the silver lining is that there is no record of MS1 being installed on my car, cause I know these asses will try to void the warranty at any opportunity out here. :nono:
