GreaseMonkey 08-05-2008, 01:38 PM It's nice seeing new product all the time up here, but I would trade our **** roads and weather for the dirty south any day. lewisb13 08-05-2008, 04:30 PM It IS rather nice in some aspects. I have been here over a year and have not seen one single instance of traffic. I am serious, I have not even had to let off the gas to mildly slow down for some gawker delay. Also, ZERO orange barrels, ever. I guess it has its advantages, but on the other hand when you drive past a gas station and it says, "We NOW have pay at the pump," you start to question where the hell you're at. CoriolisSTORM 08-05-2008, 04:52 PM I am just within 300 miles of it. Up in Tuscaloosa. I wish I'd seen this earlier, I was just down there in Pensacola. lewisb13 08-05-2008, 04:55 PM You gonna be back this way anytime soon? CoriolisSTORM 08-05-2008, 04:58 PM Not to my knowledge. That was my only vacation for the indefinite future... :nono: slick 08-05-2008, 06:15 PM It's nice seeing new product all the time up here, but I would trade our **** roads and weather for the dirty south any day. For real.:bigthumb: Gumbi 09-03-2008, 04:43 AM I'm just outside of Montgomery. Me and my fiance moved down here from the Detroit area for work. Been down here about a year, so far we like it. Dont miss the snow or the crappy roads. Cheers:beerchug: Fingernipp 09-03-2008, 06:48 AM I have been trying to find work in the south. Im soo sick of the north (winter and angry people) I have been trying to get down to GA in the Atlanta area for 3 years now. All my hobbies are outdoors :( lewisb13 09-03-2008, 07:04 AM Hell yeah we should meet up sometime. I am in the exact same boat as you.... lewisb13 09-03-2008, 09:42 AM What do you do for a living? Gumbi 09-03-2008, 10:06 AM I have been trying to find work in the south. Im soo sick of the north (winter and angry people) I have been trying to get down to GA in the Atlanta area for 3 years now. All my hobbies are outdoors :( There is a lot of work in Alabama for skilled trade/technical people. With all the manufacturing that's come here, the technician workforce has pretty much dried up. The Thyssen steel mill in Mobile is going to attract even more manufacturing. chrisoefer 11-08-2008, 03:16 PM hey lewis are you ever in pascagoula? There's a black C-SRT4 in my girls neighborhood all the time that i pass up almost every day. | |
