Well my 02 Neon R/T was on its last legs.. driven and raced hard she was just plan wore out. Traded her in today and drove home a Black 07 Caliber R/T FWD 5 speed..
Aside from the stupid white interior panels i love it already :) I just need a good reliable daily driver. Ive got a 98 R/T in the process of 2.4L Built Turbo swap (just gotta replace a core support and the motor goes in ;D) So I didnt need anything spectacular as far as the daily driver goes. But getting a good price on this Caliber R/T i couldnt pass up the chance. It was the first and only Caliber I drove and its got everything i was looking for. Black, 2.4L, 5 speed, Boston Acoustic Speakers/woofer, 6 disc changer/mp3
Cant wait to use this in the winter.. I really got tired of my underbody dragging against the snow in my 02 R/T..

I just found one of the best features.. i can lay on the ground under the engine and access the oiling stuff.. no need to jack it up!!.. this means i can leave my floor jack in the garage

Haha, I can't on mine but it's a little lower.
I still don't think I could slide under a normal Caliber. I have a 48 inch chest....

Nice! You will love the car in the winter, I have yet to get mine stuck in 2 winters
At work they would always miss plowing a couple of spots in the snow, and it would only be me and the people with SUVs that could get into them :jester:

Tell me about it, ive been looking for one for awhile. I actually gave up and was looking for a 1.8L 5speed.. cant really find those around here either. And came across this one on autotrader last week and it was black too. First and only Caliber I ever drove :)

I might but im not up that way that often, most of my close buddies are in Warren/Roseville and Pontiac.

heh well it didnt look like that when i traded it in, someone keyed my trunk, there was a paint issue on the passenger side (paint just started to bubble and crack, looked horrible but the primer was intact), had hail damage the insurance didnt feel like helping me out with. the gunmetal stock rims were off and regular 97-99 neon rims were on the car with almost bald winter tires =p, sold/traded the NSRT seats for stock sxt seats (still have an extra set of NSRT seats for my 98R/T and put the stock tails back on, when the dealer got it all it had on it was the NSRT Short throw and NSRT boot, NSRT radio bezel, a powdercoated red mopar valve cover, k&n filter, long tube header w/ 2.5" piping and a camaro muffler and eibach prokit springs on tokico struts. and it hadnt been washed in months. it turned from a really nice car into a beater after all the cosmetic/mechanical issues popped up
i do miss the car, the Caliber doesnt handle as well and i miss my exhaust =p but i enjoy having a reliable car now that i dont have to worry about.
