Is there a reset for the power inverter on the calibers?, daughter plugged in a a high amp draw compressor :notallthere: and the a/c voltage quit. If Not, where is the inverter located? Is it in the alternator itself ? Thanks,D.:beerchug:
Like many electronics in the Caliber the inverter is controlled
by the TIPM and if it draws over specs the TIPM shuts it down.
It should come back to life after 3 hot/cold drive cycles or
if you disconnect the negative battery cable for abt 10 mins.
If not the it may require a dealer Starscan reset,it is physically
positioned right at the bottom and behind the center panel of the
dash(at least in '07)
I have checked the fuse and it is good, there is 12V to the plug(operations light), but no AC 110v.I will ask her to try it again or will try the batt. disconnect trick. Thanks, D.:beerchug:
