Question Does the SXT have an option for the 2.4 Liter engine?

I'm looking at purchasing a 2008 SXT for my son. The information posted on the window says the car has a 2.4 Liter 285 HP engine. However, all the information I can find on the web shows that the SXT only comes with the 1.8L or 2.0L engine options. Also, if I'm reading all the specs correctly, the 285 HP engine could only be the turbo. Is it possible to get a 2.4L Turbo engine in the SXT? I had a Plymouth Voyager that had a larger engine than any of the listed options so I know it's sometimes possible for that to happen.

Welcome

You are correct, the SE and SXT were only available with the 1.8l or 2.0l engines.

The 2.4 was only on the R/T

The 2.4T was only on the SRT4 model (2008 & 2009 only)

Unless they meant Caliber SRT instead of SXT. If you had a picture of it, we could tell right off. You could always look on the back of the hatch and see what it says I suppose but a picture would let us know immediately whether or not it was an SRT instead of an SXT.

An SRT/4 will have a hood scoop and body kit, you will easily tell it from any other caliber. I have a pic of an SRT/4 attached.
