We have a 2007 Caliber and we are starting to have issues with it. The other day i tried to start it up and it just made a clicking sound and the windsheild wipers started to move with out being turned on. I removed the battery and gave it a good charge and reconnected it. Started right up with no issues. The very next day it would not start again. Anyone have this issue or konw what is causing it?
I am having a starting problem also. Hopefully I'll get some answers next week, when we take it to the garage. What I can tell you is that I replaced the starter. Not the problem. Some one told me itcould be a relay, maybe the starter switch or cylinder. a problem with the module that reads the key, or maybe there is a short in one of the many wires in the ignition system. If I find out what the problem is I will post on here.
dodge garage said it is a relay. Corrosion on the relay and the harness. $500.00 for relay and harness. Not replacing everything from the key to the starting.....priceless
