The check engine yellow lamp appear and the CVT remains stuck in "low gear".
I could accelerate at much as the engine revs.
At 2500rpm i go 20 km\h, and i cannot get the cvt in manual mode either.
Anyone know what is this about?
Is it the CVT, the computer, some pump or another mechanism?
The car still drives great, all system working, no other weird symptoms, tremors ans such.
Just cannot go in the "upper" gear.
2007 SE, CVT, 160hp, 50.000 km.
ps.
I manage to crawl to the repair shop, but it is Saturday, and 2 day from a sign from the mechanic guy.
Any ideas?
When the transmission hose blew, this happened to my 07 SXT. Of course it also left a nice big puddle and trail of transmission fluid so I assume you would have noticed this.
If you have to ask how much it costs to replace the CVT, you can't afford it. Sorry. But I'd go to AAMCO--it's likely just a part needs replacement and not the whole CVT. Remember that this same CVT is used by Nissan, Mitsubishi and Subaru.
