Replacing REG with REL

As Dodge(&Chrysler) is no longer imported in Europe since beginning of 2012 even local Jeep importer was not able (or willing) to answer my question. Only thing they told me that locally Caliber has not been delivered with REL and the one I consider to obtain is from Avenger.

SO, can I replace REG-radio with REL-radio? Uconnect would be nice but old REG having somewhat limited features I expect cabling is not there but main thing is to able to listen MP3. Tried to search via Google but did not find the answer easily but both radios are mentioned in audio guide that came along with the car.

Any assistance welcome.

Dodge Journer = Fiat Freemont?

Car is registered in summer 2009 so I presume it is consider as 2009 model. What comes to faceplate I'd assume both would fit, mainly concerned about cabling that my car may be missing and therefore whole thing would refuse to work.

REG looks like this:

And REL:

according audio manual

REG is LW/MW/FM/CD-radio
and
REL, well it is only listed but not described, anyway single disc CD/DVD-radio with 3,5mm input, no touchscreen asking 150€~200$, don't think it's expensive as besides of high income tax we also enjoy 24% VAT :-(
