Problems / Dealer ServiceIf you are having problems with your Dodge Caliber and you would like to discuss it, this is the section. Have your car into the dealer for a particular reason and want to talk about it? Do it in here.
Anyone else have this happen? Accordin to the 07 service manual, fuse 23 is for the horn, that checks out OK. Not really sure when it stopped working since I dont use the OEM keyfob, have an alarm installed to lock/unlock the doors. When I get a chance going to check for power at the actual horn. Wondering if it could have gotten disconnected somehow when I put the black headlights in, though I never fully removed the bumper to do that.
Well looks like the horn is shot. Ran a test light at the wire that plugs into the horn, and its getting power. Ran a wire direct to the battery an no sound. Wish the dealer would just give me the part under warranty and let me change it!
i going to pepboys tomorrow. $20 for a dual air horn set up. youtube "wolo air dual horn". i thought of getting the hella triple air horn but $20 > $55, know what i mean.
i had a set of dual air horns off of a ferari but they died (they were akmost 10 y/o) so now i gotta go buy a set. oh well dual airs will be bad ass.
The horn seems to be in an area that really shouldnt get overly wet, and may even be a little more contained than other cars, so much just be a cheap crap horn!
