Need some help and info on some stuff!!!!

Alright so I've been looking for some performance mods for my sxt but it seems theres only so much I can get. Cold air intake and exhaust. I went to my local shop and we talked for a bit and we started to talk about nitrous!!
I think im going to go through with it. Still in the making but was wondering about where would i want to put the nitrous switch. I found some pics of what it says is a nokya motorsports shifter knob and was wondering if anyone knew where i could find this shifter?!

here is a pic

I was also wondering if there is a button or some form of switch at the top of the knob?

And if not a switch on top of the knob where would be a good place to put it or wire it up to with minimal movement?
And i do not have cruise control otherwise that would be a good place to put it. So let me know if you guys have any info or suggestions good or bad i want to know! thanks all!

I also have an auto SXT and i know mine RPMs go up to 6 grand... i know NOS is a weicked thing to put on a car but really an SXT? I know you should go more into the turbo way of life...youll enjoy it and itll save you money on bottle refils

I'd say a transmission cooler would help the transmission, cause its usually heat that cause mechanical failure in transmissions. But not saying it will save the tranny though.

Noticed you had an sxt which has less power than the r/t which runs the same transmission irc. so that means you may have more room to play with before stuff blows

Automatic, cvt or standard...
One big question. Is you car still under warranty? and if so, you will blow that warranty out the window. I'd find better ways around this and accept what it can give you. You're might start seeing cel's like crazy and nice repair bills.

Though, I won't knock you, nice idea.

Re: Need some help and info on some stuff!!!!

I mean right now i dont have enough money for a tranny swap out/ turbo.....
Thats why nitrous is the next best thing for me I'm not looking for something right now that will blow my socks off! I'm looking for something to give my auto sxt some kick ya know? I hate being slow and nitrous is the only way of changing that right now. And my warranty expired at 36000 miles i broke that a week ago so now im out of warranty. But i sorta understand what you guys are saying nitrous is pretty rough! But I'm not going to be using it all the time mostly on the weekends maybe once or twice and not every weekend. So i think you guys for all your info i really appreciate it I just hope you guys understand its an auto sxt its slow!!! I want to go fast, this is the only way right now!!

In that case, maybe a little tweak with some nitrous might be a fun project. Honestly, I think with the cvt the drive might be fun. I'd admit the cvt could use more off the line but once it gets going it's pretty fun. A little boost will be interesting. Have someone locally with good experience with nitrous and see what they recommend and from there on, don't be a speed demon
BTW, did you catch my intake mod? It's all homemade, cheap & gave me improved throttle response. Worth experimenting with.
