Help! No Cd Eject

Hi All! I have a single disc CD player in the Caliber I purchased new in 2009. The car has 15,000 miles on it. The first time that I tried to listen to a CD in my Caliber, the disc went in but never played. It won't eject and when I press the CD button on the audio unit it sez "No CD".
Is there any way to get the disc out of the CD player?
TIA,
Rad1

Sounds like you might have to pull the head unit out and remove the CD.
If you have a warrantee, you could bring it in and have them replace it.

Opening up the head unit is pretty easy (I had to do it twice on my van, as my 2yrs old put loose change into it).

To get the headunit out, you'll need to remove the shifter bezel. The pic below shows where the tabs are located. This simply pries out.

I unforunately don't have any clear shots of the radio bezel clips, but it is the same deal. Pry from the bottom and it should come off. You can see the three holes for the radio bezel tabs for the left side in the pic below. There is on near the bottom, one beside the radio, and one above. The other side is the exact same.

Once it's off, it's four screws and the unit should pull out.

I do not have any good photos of the head unit that shows the screws you will need to remove to open it up. From there, you are on your own.
Good luck and keep us posted.

If your stereo ends up being busted let me know. I think I have an extra lying around I would probably sell for super cheap.

I might still be under warranty, I'm taking Cali to my Dodge dealer today to check ! If not I might just be needing that unit!
