2007 Dodge Caliber SXT Leaking in Passenger Back seat floor

My daughter owns a 2007 Dodge Caliber SXT with around 75,000 miles. We have problems with the floor in the passenger's back collecting water. So far, we have had a local mechanic (reputable) check the following:

1. Under body - all welds were fine - could not see any areas where water would enter from underneath.
2. Evaporator tube from heater box - was clear and not plugged or disconnected.

This does not happen all the time so we are wondering if and when there are heavy rains if it could be a seal around the back door or possible the drain tube from the sunroof. There is no water anywhere else in the car, it just seems to collect on the floor in the back...Not sure what else to check...HELP!

Sunroof drain tube is the first suspect.

Water leak

Please read my reply posted earlier today. There is a significant problem going on with these cars. TAKE IT TO THE DEALER!!!! Tell them you want a water specialist.
There is a place around the caudle and around the interior tail lamps in the hatch thats leaking

Right here...

Dont beleive anything the dealer tells you. I had this issue from day one and it took 7 trips to several dealers before finally solving the issue. NOT the drain tubes!!! Are these your issues??....right rear floor FLOODS until there is enough water in there to raise goldfish?? It will only do this when it pours rain for several hours, not after just a light shower or car wash?? If your Caliber is from the first year production, here is the solution!!!

Remove the right front fender...there you will find where the front firewall meets the cowl and doorjamb...this area is fit REALLY bad together!! The whole seam at that point needs to be caulked and sealed from the top to the bottom!! The reason it ends up in the rear floor??? I watched it, believe me, water rolls down through this area, into the kick panel, UNDER the front seat mount, through the front floor and ends up right in the back seat. The floorpan from the front to back seat has a long taper downward that sends the water flowing right to the back, but the reason it is this way is for the rear passenger legroom.

I struggled with the same issue for a LONG time....give that a try and I bet it is the same thing!!!

Your problem is exactly what's happening to my 2007 Caliber SXT. I had the water shop-vac-ed but problem occurs again when I drove with the A/C on. I am going to a "Water Doctor" and see if he can fix this. If not, I'll just have to go to the dealer as my last resort.
