2008 Caliber SXT odd problem

I've been having a few intermittent problems (possibly related) whereby the key chime sounds when the key is not in the ignition, hesitation to crank, delayed engine off when ignition turned off. Thought it was ingition switch and have replaced it. Thought I fixed it but symtoms re-appeared about two weeks later. Lastly, the car would not crank yesterday until I disconnected the battery and reconnected it. It seems that this happens after driving for more than 30 minutes or so.

Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

SPL
