Re: Challenger SRT8 and My Caliber SRT4 **56K Beware!**

Still unsure of what I actually think of the new challenger. I know I personally wouldn't buy one. Would spend that money on a 300c SRT8 instead. Theres no practicality in a two-door car.

I was actually arguing with a dude in the parking lot because I said i would take my CSRT4 over the Challenger any day. I was outlining the reasons why all he kept saying was that "Its faster".

I'm sure if I had the money that if I spent just as much on the CSRT4 as the Challenger is worth....it wouldn't be able to touch me

Looks sweet, but man am I surprised at how the hood on that thing is the same height as the CSRT-4.

not just the hood...I was surprised that the challenger was only about 1 inch shorter than the CSRT4. And people think our car sits high

I'd take it over a Caliber SRT-4 any day. Much nicer inside, much faster, world class braking, etc.

my CSRT4 has some damn good braking if you ask me.

and its not "much faster"...its a bit faster...but like I said I could dump another 25k into the CSRT4 and then I'd be ALOT faster.

2 door car = nothing better than a sunday driver to go to church with. where do the friends/kids sit?

Trunk space = thats right...what trunk space? Enough for a set of golf clubs I suppose.

These factors are a must for ME. I need the room to haul people around and I need trunk space for hockey/baseball equipment. The Challenger is of no use to me. I personally like the looks of the new Camaro anyway.

Great pictures! I didn't even know they were out yet! I'm with you though, even if I had the money for the Challenger I'd still buy the CSRT. I'm all about unique styling and bang for the buck; retro doesn't really do it for me. If I wanted a Challenger I'd buy a 1971 version...
