Thumbs down New battery every winter

Every winter, like clockwork, my battery fails and I end up needing a new one. Just happened today. Aren't batteries supposed to last two to three years? Are the batteries cheaply made or is there something wrong with my car, which runs fine aside from this?

With any "modern" car, the on-board computer(s) draw current with the igniton off. You could put a battery maintainer on it if it isn't going to be run for a week or so.

Would anyone happen to know if changing the upper and lower pulleys cause the battery light to suddenly come on and stay on?

You could check to see if the output of the alternator exceeded 13.5 Volts when running, and if not then the alternator is not charging. Changing pulleys could affect how it charges, depending on a lot of related mechanical things about the pulleys.

It's a 2009 caliber, never any issues... Then both pulleys were replaced cuz bearings were starting to go, ever since, battery light comes on. Cables are clean and tight, battery is good, haven't checked Alt. Yet...I read in one of these forum from couple years ago that maybe check to see if belt is tight enough or tensioner might need ajustment...idk

Easy to check voltage right at the battery, should go up when the engine runs

What battery do you use? If it happens every winter then maybe it is because of the temperature. What I use is this https://www.allmoparparts.com/sku/82300778.html. But this I only put this if the temp would be 5 or negative.
