What was the reason behind the drive by wire setup on the caliber?

Okay, so understanding that stage kits / future product questions are off limits, can you give us a estimate on what removing the cats will do from a HP/TQ perspective? I'm sure one of the engine guys have run one of the cSRT4 engines with that mod! Other than the a check engine light for not having a cat in there, are there any other risks to the engine? Will the e-throttle close and pull out power?

Thanks for your time!
First, you must understand you've essentially installed an "Off-Road" exhaust system on your vehicle and you'll no longer pass Local & State emissions tests. However, we can confirm the results of another user with a CSRT4. That is an ENGINE DYNO increase of ~10lb-ft and ~15hp.

Is the stability control on the caliber completey defeatable or will it always be present to an extent? If so did you guys do any testing with other setups suspension wise on the caliber that would enable to pull over .9g's on the skidpad despite being inhibited by the esp?
The ESP is two mode on the Caliber SRT4 like the GCSRT8. We feel it is far enough out to mostly just save your ass rather than intrude on aggressive driving. We do extensive track testing and tuning to make sure. That said, aftermarket race setups can put you out of the happy place. Creative disabling of the yaw sensor may work to diable the system without losing ABS...
