I stopped by a dealer yesterday and picked up a brochure and took an sxt for a test ride. They didn't have an RT nor do they have any on order at the moment, so I'm probably going to order one with the options I want and then take another look when it comes in.

Anyway, after going through the brochure and looking at the online Build & Price tool I had some questions about the accessories packages that maybe someone here can answer.

There is a spoiler listed in the Exterior Effects package. The picture shows a body color spoiler, but most of the other pictures show a black spoiler, is the only difference the color or is it actually different than what I've seen in the other pictures? Does anyone know what is different between the chrome moldings and what is already chromed on the side of the RT? I know the RT has the strip of chrome on the side as well as the chrome strips in the handles.

My dilemma is that I want the spoiler (if its not just a color difference), but I really do not want the Chrome Fuel filler door, and may not want the chrome moldings depending on what they are, and really don't care either way for the front cover. I don't care for chrome on the body, to me its more of a luxury look than a sport look. Are the items available individually or just as a package? I guess if its a dealer installed package I could just ask the dealer to skip installing the items that I don't want.

Does anyone know anything about the Solar Yellow option? The brochure indicates that it's limited availability. The brochure also shows yellow interior inserts, but on the build and price tool it only lists the leather interior as available with the yellow. Marine blue has the same issue on the build and price tool, the only interior option is Leather.

ya i noticed that the yellow and both blues have only the option of leather....u should ask your dealer about that

I had my dealer call Chryslers to find out about the inserts on the seats.
The Solar Yellow has yellow inserts on the SXT with the sport package, and I believe the standard seats in the RT are the same as the SXT Sport (at least in Canada). So that would mean they would have the yellow inserts. That is one thing the websites, both .com and .ca, are bad for...options. It took a week for me to get the answer on that question.

There is sort-of-a-spoiler that is integral to the car, available on all trim levels. This is the black one.
The photos of the Mopar spoiler make it seem like it's a little wider and wings up a bit than what's already on the car.

www.mopar.com describes their spoiler accessory as follows:
"Spoiler is molded from reinforced composite materials for added strength. Designed exclusively to match the lines of the vehicle for a more sporty appearance. Available in primed, matte black or painted to match body color."

On www.mopar.com the chrome moldings appear to be the same ones that are standard on the R/T.

I am also hoping that the parts counter at my dealership will stock the accessories "á la carte" because I only want a couple items too, not the "packages".

Yeah, that would definately be a plus if you don't want to pay for or, or just don't want the whole package.
