I was heading to the mall last night when I saw the dodge dealership on the corner so I decided to stop by and see if they had any calibers. I pull in and there was one sitting right in front of me. I actually asked where the calibers were because the thing sitting in front of me looked way to small. So for those who haven't seen these yet, there is no comparison between the caliber and the aztec or any other mini suv for that matter.

It was a SXT, mostly base stuff. But here's the funny part of the story...

My g/f loves the SRT-8 charger, and she saw the one sitting there next to the caliber, and I mentioned that I couldn't wait for the srt version of the caliber to come out. Then to my surprise the dealer starts going on with "well it'll be two years or more before they come out with one of those. plus i don't think they could fit ONE OF THE SRT8 MOTORS IN THIS LITTLE CAR. I just kind of laughed and thanked him and walked back to my car.

I test drove another Caliber today, I was trying to make conversation with this salesman on the test drive, and he was soo dull. It is like he had no idea what car he was in! LOL

Yeah, that's just stupid, it's not like you're driving to the DOT to get a new license then just going to Mehico or anything lol.

Or are you?!

When I ran from hurricane katrina I stopped by the Dodge dealership to look at some 05 neons since i knew my 99 neon was under about three feet of water... I was walking aroudn the lot and found a nice one and before he even introduced himself the salesman said "yanno if have your insurance card and lisence on you, you can take it for the rest of the day and tell us how you like it".... I think if/when I decide to go for the srt version of the caliber, i'll make the trip up there to purcahse from that dealership.

You wouldnt believe how many times I have gone through that experience when I have been in a dealership even when I was like 12, I still usually knew as much if not more than the salesman, I was the one explaining things to my parents when they didnt understand ( while the salesman went out to go find out the answer, and it was almost as good as mine.) some of the sales people just should not be selling cars because they do not know about the cars they are selling. A little while ago i went into the dealer to see if the 2005 caravans had the results of chrysler's cost cutting that was evident on the 2004 caravans, namely the loss of 4 wheels on the back seat ( which i have had the tracks replaced already because they got destroyed) and the removal of the heated area on the windshield where the wipers go, and this sales person didnt have a clue what i was talking about, they just played dumb for me. Pretending to not know anything about the disappearance of these features.
