Any Canadian Calibers?

Hey all, great forum!
I've been sneaking around the last couple days and reading up and have gotten lots of the info I've been looking for.

I'm wondering if there's any Canadians out there that know when the general release is going to be up here? I know there's a fellow in Quebec that got one, but I'm more looking for something to test drive. Once I've done that, I'm quite certain I'll be ordering one of my own, just want to drive it first! Anyone with info, it would be greatly appreciated!

Just got back from the Auto show, The Dodge rep there said the "offical" Canadian release date was March 1.

The official Canadian release is April 1. They are a few in Canada. 2 in Ottawa the rest out west.

They will be on dealers lots before the official release.

There are two in QC and about 7 out west. QC has the SXT's and out west have only the base models.

They have a few here in Newfoundland. I am car shopping at the moment, wishing I could still buy the Neon SRT-4.... I am just not "feeling" the Caliber... I want sports compact car, not crossover, that's what my matrix is for...

Hi bOrOn ,im in monteal and i got mine last week at my dealers ,they had preordered it in november from Chrysler .The model is a SXT 2.0l cvt trani orange in colour ,equiped with Boston accoustics and full electric pwr.17 inch alloy wheels.
It goes great ,even in these cold temperatures.with the all seasons tires ,traction is great (must be the positionning of engine to wheel placement.
Handels great at hight speeds and corners realy good.sporty feeling.

Oh, Yes, Please post good pics of the Sunburst Orange one as that is one of the colors I am highly interested in. That would be awesome, and congrats on the purchase. We need more new eyecandy

I saw one in Windsor earlier this week going down Walker. I can't to see them in person and take one for a test drive.

Yes there are about 10 in Windsor. We drove all the models last week at a DCX sales training event. The car is amazing!

donaghey - I will e-mail you when we have some to test drive. We have 20 on order a few are in KZ the rest are all in D and D1.

Marco, I live in Longueuil and WILL drive to your Dodge dealer to see and look at the Orange Caliber.. Could you please tell me at what dealer you saw that sunburst Orange?? Too bad it's not the manual transmission.. :'(

I will be putting a deposit on mine this week.. But want to have a cleaner look at what I will get.. I will also get pictures for the forum members (and myself)..

Well i was at the toronto auto show this saterday and on my way out in the parking garage i spoted 2 Calibers 1 silver and 1 black both SXT's with ontario plates. I periodicly stop by my dealership to see what up and talk to a few buddies and they said the calibers should start hitting the dealerships on Feb 16 which was only 4 days ago.

Hi Xordok , i already have the Caluiber SXT orange in colour in my possession,
the dealer i am talking about as 3 more cumming soon , its in Montreal(Pointe aux Trembles Chrysler.514-642-6000)ive had mine since last tuesday 15:00 hrs on the 16 febuary 2006.

Marco.. Thanks for the Info.. I will certainly be calling the PAT dealer this week.. Merci!!

.. You HAVE IT NOW !?!?!?!? :O ... I'm so jealous.. But heck, I want the Manual Transmission and they said to me it's not before end of march that they will start the manufacturing of them.. So not before april/may for them.. I will call the PAT dealer and have more info from them, maybe my dealer messes with me and just want to have my deposit ASAP..

Thanks Xordok! I love that Sunburst Orange color. Those pics were alot better than the other ones that I have seen. I was really hoping for outside shots as the natural light shows the orange a bifferent way, but beggers can't be choosy I guess. Black is out and I think Silver and Orange is going to be tough for me in the color decision making process. Thanks again!

Hmm...in comparison with the pictures I've seen of the Caliber (silver, sunburst orange, black, and beige) silver and black seem to be the best colors for it for some reason. Not that Sunburst Orange doesn't look good, because it does, it just seems that silver or black flows better with the lines. Of course, I may be partial because I own a silver one, but that seems to be the general consensus. I think the worst color for the car would have to be yellow, but I never was a fan of yellow anyway.
