I will probably buy SXT/ R/T first then trade up if I feel like it.

Depending on the price for SRT version, you might see a lot of people going with the AWD R/T and putting some aftermarket boost into it.

depends if i will have a good enough job to support the payments and weather u'll be able to get more power out of it. otherwize it would seem more useful for a neon srt4 if u could get more power, plust get a used cheaper one!

They're nice cars, but I just cant go back to a vehicle with anything less than an SRT engine, or an engine with similar performance specs.

I don't care for the Caliber too much, but I'm obligated to get the SRT version, just to keep tradition alive. I just hope I have my SRT-4 paid off by then.

I'm with Chrisoefer on this one....it might turn out that Hahn Racecraft or somebody else comes out with a kit for the Caliber 2.0, based on the 16g/20g neon turbo kits....Depending on what we see for reliability and power handling in the CVT, the AWD Caliber might turn out to be a better deal. Instead of the estimated $25K SRT price tag, we might be able to have an initial cost of about $17K, put $5K into it, and have an AWD Caliber with the same kind of power as the SRT. Saving a couple grand is still a saving, but you'd have a complete hooligan machine - which would be especially fun during our long canadian winters!

I'm gonna go thrash a local stealership's Calibers next weekend, and see how everything feels!

Def gonna wait on the SRT, like Ironside said. Once you get addicted to the power, anything less would be a waste of time.

Same here! My other "current" options that I have interest in - in no particular order, are: Mazda 5, KIA Sadona, KIA Sportage, 4 door Civic Si (if it comes out), Chrysler 300C, Dodge Magnum, Acura TSX, & Honda Element.
Not that any of you care but I felt like telling the world...

Later on I went looking at some specs after I made that post and have pretty much narrowed it down to 3: Caliber SRT4, Civic Sedan Si, and Dodge Magnum (in whichever trim level I can swing - around or below $25k!)

i am waiting for sure..since that should be right before the 01 se neon hits 100k and is totally worthless. there is a neighbor about 10 houses down that just came home with a white r/t. looks great...will have to go and check it out!
