Build/Price Your Caliber!

I just noticed that the Dodge site allows you to build and price a Caliber. You can do so by visiting the following link:

http://www.dodge.com/caliber/index.html

The site does mention that the pricing information is preliminary, and there is no SRT-4 model listed yet... but, keep your fingers crossed!

Dommo_G posted about it first in this thread:

wow, $21,970 for AWD R/T.

SRT version definitely over $23k.

first thing i noticed also...wow

how much is a neon R/T? like 18ish right?
so i'm guessing 27ish for the SRT caliber
one thing i also noticed...
For the SXT- 1.8L manual transmission offering 140 HP and optional 2.0L automatic transmission at 150 HP

For the R/T-
The engine produces 134 horsepower at 4,000 RPM and 229 pounds-feet of torque at 1,750 RPM

more power for the SXT than R/T?
Just when i find it......this thread comes hopping along :)
wasnt there already a thread about this?
Think so.....but its not official till ekool posts it:)
Did anybody notice the $100 charge for choosing yellow??

most definitely over 23K. i would guess around 27K. i think the srt-4 was like 3k more than the neon sxt.
sorry, my bad. more like 6k difference in price according to the dodge website.
ok.. 22k + 3k = 25k.. give or take dealer markup :( so prolly closer to sti & evo pricing

For something rediculously slower.
did anyone else notice that if you select AWD you can only select the automatic trans?

That stinks. I built it with FWD and it was ~18.5k which is about what the Neon R/T went for.

This also probably means the srt version will not offer AWD.
yeah i noticed that a few days ago.. the SRT will most likely be AWD...
it would be intersing if it came with a seven speed mercedes trans
the srt-4 version wont be much if anymore than it already is.....27-28k for a caliber srt....thats in the base charger r/t range and even the challenger. look for the srt version to be around 22-24k depending on fwd or awd.

What do you mean "much more than it already is?" The srt-4 does not cost 27-28k. I am sorry, but you have been badly misinformed. If you pay more than 23k, and that is way high, then you are getting rediculously ripped off. I paid 22,500 for mine. That is with Mopar stage 2 coilover suspension, Enkei rs-6 17's, and a sts, all installed at the dealership. Over 2k in upgrades and still under 23k. The caliber srt will be way more than the original srt-4.
i'm thinking he's talking about including dealer markup.. because there was a LOT of that here in san diego.. where SRT4s were costing around 27k.. which is why some people went to evos or sti's

Im not sure what youre saying 27-28 for a caliber srt-4 also 22-24k huh
plus when you said r/t that was weird considering what in this earth would make you chose something that will be slower and uglier for the price range instead of the charger or especially the challenger
