Hey, I was wondering if anybody knows how long the timing chains last on the srt4. I heard somebody say you have to change it at only 100k miles, as the parts start wearing out around there and it's an interference motor so you have to be careful. I've never heard of a lot of people have timing chain issues with these cars like an s4 or something. I figured it would last a very long time but figured I would check with everyone. Thanks for the help.

Heya, also wondering with the same question. In my service manual it says you have to change Timing chain and tensioner at 150.000 kilometers.

But I've kinda always learned, that a timing chain will survive the lifetime of the car. At daily use and untuned..

Yes you have to change the timing chain and oil pump chain on these cars. I learned it's a know weak point. You gotta get on the facebook group "caliber srt-4 friends helping friends"
