Have you guys seen some of the Caliber TV ads? See them at DodgeTalk.com.

I'm not impressed with those commercials at all. Very lackluster... IMHO.

They attempt to show a tough-bruiser-attitude-of-a-car and all they end up doing is displaying an air of rude indifference.

The surf-chick one was OK, and the boxer one was the best... but it's in Spanish for crying out loud.

I don't know, I was expecting something more exciting and am disappointed. Oh well, at least the Caliber rocks.

Yeah... hmmm. I bought mine because I saw it driving around on the Dodge lot:cool: In fact the Dodge dealer here got 3 of them and sold them all within 2 weeks and then they sold me mine... so they sold all they had and one more within two weeks.

Thanks for posting the link, I have yet to see any advertising at all for the caliber. I like them, but they seem about average to me as well. I just wish they would use a different color than black in advertisements, Black is just too hard to see the details in photos or on tv.
And I'm guessing from reading other posts that the exhaust notes are dubbed in? I haven't driven one yet but it seems everyone has said that the caliber is nearly silent.:(

They sound normal to me. It sounds quiet enough inside though.

And for the record, I really like the Caliber... just not those commercials. They don't do the car justice at all. They should let us do them... Silverfox has the skills!:D

No offense intended toward anyone with a black Caliber, but I do wish/hope some of the advertising features several different colors.

This vehicle seems to be somewhat "transformed" from one color to another - such an approach could help it gain wider notice from the variety of ages/lifestyles that the advertising seems to be focused on...

I do predict the "Moon Dog" spot, as well as the others, will help some future Caliber Forum participants decide on what to use for a screenname.

Thus, I'm rather sure we will soon have new participants registering and calling themselves "MoonDog", "SickPuppy", "AnythingButCute" etc.

Gosh, I hope that wasn't because of what I said (noting the wink) - because I tried to put in in proper context to show my meaning.

Just meaning to appeal to more of a variety of viewers, if the marketing is aimed the same way. There's a lot of competition in the same basic categories of vehicle out there that seem to already be doing it, or surely will.

Just joking around with ya Harley!

I thought the most appropriate commercial was the surfer girl... although the moon dog was funny. The rest were lackluster in my opinion. Hell, they should do a commercial featuring me storm chasing with it ; ) Tough + Features

THAT would be a good one.

I could help the male "Boomer" sales by them featuring me picking up "beach bunnies" and driving off with bikini tops tied to the antenna... (referring to a post in that thread). :D
