So it seems that the battery in the remote key entry is starting to get a wee bit on the weak side. I normally have to press on it once and the driver's side door unlocks....well now I'm damn near the car before it opens.

So the question I have and I'm sure that someone here will be able to answer it in no time flat is:

- if I change the battery in the key, do I have to re-program the key or does the programing remain intact?

Thanks in advance

Regards

Programming does not change when the batteries are replaced.

1 q: are you CLOSE to any radio towers or radar installations? DC vehicles have "issues" with their FOBs near other radio transmitters.

That's great to hear.

And an answer to your question....no. No towers nearby. The only radar it get's near is off our surveiliance equipment in our Coyote's, and I'm normally not trying to get into the car at that time.
