so driving out east on the 401 today and i hear a BAM into my windshield. i think it must have been a pretty big pebble. well it was. i gigantic windshield cracking pebble. there was no sign of a crack or anything until after it had been sitting in the sun a while and not moving and the ac wasn't on. i get back after dimsum with the family and there's this foot long crack on the passenger side of my windshield. i'm so fracking pissed!

does anyone know if this sort of thing is covered under warrenty?

Like Tommy Lee said, it is an insurance thing. See if you have glass coverage on it. If you do there may and may not be a deductable, depending on your insurance plan to replace the glass.

Make sure they do it right. There are a lot of windshield replacement companies that compromise safety, etc. The company must use proper primers and adhesives. Also, they must do the proper "close cut" method on the glass. There are some companies out there that are AGRSS (Automotive Glass Replacement Safety Standard) certified. I would go with one of those versus one that isn't. It doesn't mean a whole lot, but that is better than nothing.

I had a stone, not a pebble hit the small groove right between my windshield and roof. It took a nice chip of my paint and windshield. I'll be getting the touch up paint soon, they had to order it. :(:(

a few months ago, I was happily going down the 407....When I heard a bang. Everything seemed ok, so I kept going. Later that evening I noticed the passenger side head light didn't quite look right.

The lense was smashed in by a horseshoe...Hows that for luck? Frackin' Frack! :)

I know the pain too myfriend.. two weeks after I got my cali I was driving down the highway and this dodge ram spit a rock up and chipped my left side of the window... After much cursing and my heart sinking 30 seconds went by and BAM another rock chip on the right side of the window in just about the same place as the one on the right... man I was upset that day. Took it to a glass specialist and had the chips fixed before they had a chance to spider.
