I vote spitsnaugle, not because of how he edited the pic, but the originality of his pic, and how much he put into taking that picture.

There are no footprints leading up to the kid in jim_flint's picture. Thus, I have to assume he picked her up and tossed her into the snowbank. That alone is worth significant consideration.

Plus, hey, it's a car like mine with as much snow on it as mine had a few weeks ago, so I can relate to it.

Besides, I can't fault the absolute opposites: cute, cuddly kid in pink snowsuit vs the black, evil, menacing, snarling, UNcute Caliber...

lol it's great that you picked up on the lack of footprints part, and yes, I did pick her up and plop her in there and then snap the picture as fast as I could before she lost her balance, sat down, and started mussing around in it. That said, I think spitsnaugle's photo is phenomenal and therefore I voted for it. Also I loved sky's photo when I first saw it, made me lol. But mucho thankos to everyone who voted and votes for mine!

show me your original file and edited file with exif in tact.. I find it hard to believe a canon pulls out the correct orange of the paint with no correction lol

Ha.
I can promise you I did not alter the color, at all. Thats straight up.
I even had it set auto white balance, (though it defaults to "flash" white balance when I place my st-e2 trigger on it). My canon 5D is normally spot on for the correct color, normally slightly dull, but correct. Its autofocus is another story however...rrrrrr.

Nikon users:notallthere:.

Edit: The plate-blur I edited and saved on the original, so its going to have adobe cs3 in the exif, Here is the test shot right before it, the only difference was I didnt have a snoot on the flash yet. Absolutely Nothing was done to this, just FTP'd it out. I'm only going to keep the file out for a day or so, so check it now: http://spitsnaugle.com/IMG_5526.jpg
The color is the same, just slightly dark exposure.

um, nikon in my opinion is just as good if not better. The color correction that nikon builds into the bodies of all their new cameras is just about the same as cannon, except with a few tweaks here and there

i also would like to see the original shot, including the "smoke bombs" and "lighter fluid"

like, the same exact shot, minus "lightning it up"

im sorry, as much as i like the picture, it looks straight photoshopped
