seems like a generic one to me.. not automated, but a fill-in-the blank sorta feedback.. if they ask you to not reply, its because you'd be sending it back to a computer.

Well, well well. I guess you SPOKE too SOON! :D

Just recieved an email BACK from the big boys themselves

Dear (they used my name) :

Thank you for your recent email to DaimlerChrysler Corporation regarding
the pinging sounds coming from your 2007 Dodge Caliber.

We regret that you are still experiencing problems with your vehicle. It
is our suggestion that you continue to work with your servicing dealer.
If the dealer has been unable to determine or resolve your concerns, you
may want to seek a second opinion from another authorized
DaimlerChrysler dealership.

If your concerns are still not resolved after consulting another dealer,
please contact our office at 1-800-992-1997, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.,
Monday through Friday, to speak with one of our trained Agents.

Thank you again for your email.

Sincerely,

Missy

Original Message Follows:
------------------------

Recall Information - Dodge Brand Site

Brief Description:
pinging and hissing coming from the exhaust
Comments:
I took my 2006/07 Dodge Caliber into the dealer today because of a
PINGING sound after shutting down the engine. Also, a hissing sound
coming from the exhaust area when the engine is running. They said this
is NORMAL. However, I beg to differ! This is NOT normal, I've owned
several cars in my life, and never experienced this kind of behavior! I
want this problem to GO AWAY FAST. Also, a slight pull to the left when
driving on the freeway. So the there! Everyone else, you MAY USE THE LINK FOR ALL YOUR CONCERNS. Although they haven't solved mine! But i will take the advice and go to ANOTHER DEALER WHO CARES!!!! Because the dealer I got my car from, DOESN'T!

here is the real test, lets have 2 or more people send an email with a different problem. See if its the same email.

We could also test the one I received by sending a complement.

On a side note, I am not against auto responders. At least they see the value in getting back to the consumer. Good Job Dodge.
