My uncle works for DCX and can get me an A-Plan discount on a new car. I have never had a reason to use it because there was no car that met my requirements with the discontinuation of the previous SRT-4. Now that the Caliber SRT-4 is coming out, i have something i can look forward to. So basically what is in the A-Plan, how will it benifit me?

On the Neon srt I could not get the discount that is why I bought an R/t instead. I think 1/2 way through the 04 model they allowed the employee discount on the SRT's because they werent moving off the lots very fast.

I think the same thing will happen with the Caliber. At least I hope it doesnt and they allow the discount immediately.

The discount is around 3-5% under the invoice.

Chrysler doesn't exactly have 'A-plan'. You either get EP (employee price) which is 3% below invoice, or PP (preffered price) 1% below invoice. On the previous srt-4 they did start to allow the EP to be used in 2004, but never the PP. You will only be eligible for the PP if your uncle is the one with the discount (EP is available to immediate family only).I hope this answers your question.

Looks like "preferred price" which according to the above is 1% under (maybe they mean above?) invoice. It also says you can add it to current incentives... so you could take the preferred price and add the $500. Awesome. We'll see! I'm waiting to test drive one before I make a decision. I've got ants in my pants to say the least... it looks great for storm chasing with the AC jack/bvg cooler, etc. AWD would be extra nice, although I'm not sure if I'll be able to swing that.

My top two choices right now are the Fusion and the Caliber.

Well if your uncles brother/sister, your father/mother were to sign for the car I'd be he would get E.P.

AFAIK anyhow.
