....assuming that most of you who have a caliber got full coverage insurance....how much per month are you guys paying for it?....i'm just curious, because it was estimated that it would be around 350 per month which is allot, I might not even order a caliber due to this reason which blows, i know.

I own a 94 Grand Caravan LE with liability only, and then full coverage on my Caliber R/T and I pay less than $100/month to insure both vehicles. I'm almost 30 & married with a clean driving record.
I'm interested in what rates are like as well. Because rates vary widely around the country it would be more meaningful if a comparison against other vehicles was known. For a given area are the rates for the Caliber on par with other small sedans or are they closer to the rates of a sports car.

$350/month is steep unless you're a 16 year old with a few tickets. Then thats about right.
My wife and I are paying ~$200 a month for full coverage on a 07 Caliber and 00 Impala. We are both under 25 so hopefully it will go down a bit more in a year or so once we "get old". We are located in OK.
I live in canada am 22 and have a clean record, for full coverage on the caliber I pay $265 a month.
Las Vegas, Clean Record, 47 Years Old, $164.00 month 07 RT/AWD Caliber.

And they said there is so little info that once they get some info this should drop.

:D Flaps
23 with a clean record full coverage on my R/T costs me $100 a month.
Wow! $350/month is insane!! If insurance is more than the car payments, then it is too high!!

The insurance for my Caliber will be like $89/month for full coverage with state farm. That is with a clean driving record.

I live in DE. I'm 24 and married.

My insurance went down a lot when I got married! Can't wait till I turn 25 in a year and it goes down some more!

I hope that helps you...

My understanding with State Farm is you get the big break on insurance at 25 or married, whichever comes first. There is not a discount for both. It may be different now but it was like that several years ago.
I'm paying $220.00 every OTHER month ($110.00 per month)
Hey there. I am in Cleveland and paying $261 per half for full coverage, full limits. We have nothing ever on either of our records. We are above 35. higher than avg deductible.

I really boils down to Area, driving record and Deductible!!!!

You are absolutely right, I'm 40, live in upstate NY and pay 315.00 every 6 mos. I have 1 no-fault accident counting against me. If I lived closer to NYC, it would probably double.

The discount seems to be split between the two. When I got married, my rate dropped and when I turned 25 it dropped more. I think the total discount is the same as just turning 25, but getting married gives you part of the discount early.

I'm a State Farm customer who turned 25 a month ago and got married two years ago.
I pay $245 a month.. Full coverage on a SRT-4, SRT-10, R/T Caliber, and an icky Plymouth Sundance. I have 1 accident, 1 ticket (10 over), married and both over 25.

There.... I think that sums it up. LOL

Oh... Farm Burea ins.
i guess its just the shear fact that i'm a 16 year old male....which i still think that 350's rediculous, i have nothing against me in means of tickets or accidents or anything.....but maybe if i shop around it will go down a little with a different company....(fingers crossed)

'Zactly...and age, and what insurance company you have, and what other "things" you have with your agent..that you may be able to lump in with.

Dunno how anyone can estimate what they'll pay, based on others. Get 99 replies in this thread and you'll have 99 different answers. I pay $86/month for my current vehicle...I expect that to go down if I downsize and get a Caliber. My record isn't perfect, I'm 40, soon to be single, through Allstate, and I have my house, flood insurance (live literally on the shoreline), and boat with them.
I have Met Life and they do not have the Caliber in the system yet so I pay 100 month. They said it should go down also when they get all the information on them. Married 45 no tickets but I have an 21 and 18 year old kids on there also.
25 (and married), with a minor collision and a ticket (not for speeding, it will drop off this coming November) on my record and full coverage on my caliber is only $84 a month... yes, you can hate me ;) Funny thing is, I remember paying MORE than that to insure my Omni - with just liability!!

DH pays slightly more for full coverage on his '01 Silverado ($15 a month more), but he's had two tickets for speeding in the last year and a half.

My insurance didn't go down a ton when I got married, but at the time I was driving a neon and only had liability on it.. DH was paying an outragious amount to insure the Camaro he was driving at the time.. I know at times it was over $300 a month, but he was under 21..

Yes, I switched from Allstate because every six months my rates were increaseing. That was frustrating. Farm Bureau is good for a year. That's nice. I also saved $1100 a year switching to them. I guess I also have a couple of other policies through them as well... They and alot of other companies will/are going off of your credit rating as well.
