I'm kinda excited, I just seached the term:
" K&N E-1988 Air Filter " on amazon and it came up for "click to view price" it was just 34 dollars (that is selling directly from amazon not third party)

The E-1988 is the drop in fitted filter, not generic to my knowledge.

Just $34! Autozone and other competitors are in the 50-60 range.:stickpoke: I wont mention where, but I've seen a one about the same price from a vendor but it didnt list it was the e-1988 so I'm guessing it was a generic fit.

I'll be ordering one tonight.:banger: Anyone else have thoughts on it?

yea!

Yeah... I've just searched it up and found the semi-generic K&N RU-3610 fits well, flows good, and its $36 on amazon, $40 at autozone.

Just saying- thats the cheapest i've found for the e-1988.

Not starting an argument here but, the e-1988 provides more surface area than the ru-3610.

i have to agree with you, the proper drop in for our cars is much bigger than the one modern sells, or a generic one for that matter. that is why it is $60.

Not starting any arguement here, its just not the same as modern's. Moderns has a 2" neck this is .75" The 3610 is actually decently large, theres a pic of it in the airbox posted in the thread below, at the bottom of the page.

I'm actually rather stuck on which one to order with both being about the same price on amazon. :scared:
