I bought a used 2011 Dodge Caliber and it did not come with the Fob. It is made for one but apparently the individual that had the vehicle before me had the vehicle repossessed. So all I have is the spare key and none of it's bells and whistles are going to work for me till I get a new Fob.

Does this come from the dealer, or can I buy one off Ebay and take it to the dealer to program it or can I program it myself. Any help would be appreciated......

Thanks for the help, I guess there are some area Locksmith's that can make the Key for the Caliber if they have the right equipment. I called around several places and ending up going back to the dealer where I bought the car and had them make me a Key Fob for the vehicle. Even with a 10% discount, it still costs me $212 for it.

Ahh did not know that. So does the ignition require a lazer cut key also?

$212 isn't to bad, I've bought quiet a few repo cars and have even had to pay $100 for a trunk key... he wanted another $100 to notch it for the one extra tumbler in the ignition (freind locked the key in the trunk :icon_flaming:) Sometimes the dealer is just the right way to go.

It was a regular key with the key inserted inside the remote The dealer had to take it off site and have the key cut and then they programmed the remote control for the car. It would not have bothered me so much but the daughter drives the car and works nights and she feels a bit more secure with the panic button on the remote.. I do appreciate your all's help.
