Does anyone hear an incredibly loud wind sound when one or both of the back windows are open when driving on the highway? I'm looking for suggestions on how to illiminate this (other than keeping the window shut) since I have a dog that likes the fresh air. Is there anything the dealer can do under warranty?

Read your owners manual. Many cars do this. It's wind buffeting. Only way to eliminate it is to roll down one of both of the front windows.

You will notice even just cracking a front window will dramatically reduce the buffeting effect.

dogs like open windows.... and being closed in the car with an excited panting dog can be unpleasant.

How else do you expect your dog to moon passing traffic if the window's not open!

Yep - what the other folks said about this.

Plus, you can check out these previous discussions here for some other interesting details about this (vehicle design factors, etc) - one of the responses in a thread has the link to a great online article about wind buffeting.
