can you give us any info on mopar stuff for the srt-4 caliber? I know you probably cant but its worth asking. Is there stuff already in testing/development for the new srt-4?

All we can disclose at this point is Mopar is hard at work on the Caliber. The above 4 part #'s are available, and more are to be released shortly.

If there are specific parts you'd (Caliber Forums) recommend, please feel free to shout them out.

Thanks!
I would like to see a mild turbo option for the non srt-4 out there. Kinda of like how there was 2 different turbos for the PT.
Dodge now has some new accesories available when you build one on their website. Looks to be new today or maybe I missed it. Looks like mopar accesories, not sure. choose the D package and you will see the accessories option on the last screen, just before the summary.

Thanks for the heads up msuggs, I will have to try that now....

well, I dont know if this quite fits into the mopar product line, but I know alot of people really dont like the headligts on the Caliber, so something along the lines of the morette headlights or someother kind of projector headligts or something, I think they would fly off the shelves. Other then that , I think staged turbo upgrades and suspension and exhaust are the main things, just like the 1st srt-4's parts. I think mopar should offer a Mopar intercooler upgrade, big nice flowing IC with the blue mopar insignia on it. Its crazy not to offer one, since thats one of the main things you always want to upgrade on an intercooled car. Maybe a big brake kit with nice looking calipers to shine thru those big 19" wheels, slotted or drilled rotors, easy to install kit.
yeah; the rallye style headlights would work great.. so long as they weren't CF [kinda looks cheesy with the way the caliber parts go together. Also, i'd like to get the rallye lighted grille plz! :D
I third the idea of a different style headlight. Either "BMW Style Halo projector" even just HID's, or the ones that were showed on the Rallye. Like suzq044 said, body color NOT carbon fiber. How about even thinner lights like on that "SRT-6 Chop" that is floating around here. Even an upgraded, "better looking" grille insert. I think those two items would "fly off the shelves"

It seems like most of the things are are asking for besides the headlights are things that would be for the srt-4. I think what is being asked is what parts should come out for the regular calibers. Does anyone know how much HP/TQ the CVT can take? If it can't take to much more then that will rule out a turbo option for the non srt-4s.

well i suppose at the factory they would make a trans with atleast some tollerance for more power. Id say look for it to hold about 225 to 250.
Keep the ideas coming for Caliber. We're listening...

Here's some information on the current parts:

Tubular Exhaust Headers- P5153566

Bolt on this CAD designed and dyno tested Mopar performance tubular
exhaust header to feel and hear the difference. Manufactured with
heavy gauge powder coated tubing, this performance header features
true mandrel bends and CNC machined fl anges for a factory-like fi t.
Install with the Cat-Back Exhaust System (P5153564) and Cold Air
Intake System (P5153572) for an over 10 hp gain (measured at front
wheels).

Cat Back Exhaust System- P5153564

The Mopar cat-back exhaust system, features T304 2.25" stainless steel
(aircraft quality) construction with mandrel-bent tubing, stainless band
(Torca) clamps, and polished 3.125" dual wall tips. This free-fl ow system
provides a horsepower and torque gain, improved fuel economy, and is
CAD designed and dyno tested for optimal performance and sound. Install
with the Tubular Exhaust Headers (P5153566) and Cold Air Intake System
(P5153572) for an over 10 hp gain (measured at front wheels).

Cold Air Intake System- P5153572

This bolt-on system is designed to direct cooler outside air through a
directional cone fi lter and funnel it directly into the intake manifold.
The Mopar performance cold air intake system provides noticeable
horsepower and torque gains under varying atmospheric conditions.
Includes all mounting hardware and a pre-oiled, washable and reusable
fi lter. Install with the Cat-Back Exhaust System (P5153564) and Tubular
Exhaust Headers (P5153566) for an over 10 hp gain (measured at front
wheels).

Strut Tower Brace- P5153565

Made of heavy gauge powder coated steel, this MIG welded Mopar
performance strut tower brace reduces body flex in the front end,
improving handling and drivability. Easy bolt-on installation.

Performance Air Filter- P5153573

Mopar performance air filters are constructed with factory-tight seals,

Adding more support for projector HID headlights. As well as for a super charger.

That seems interesting. I also add more support for an kind of forced induction.

I just like the sound of a supercharger more than a turbo. I think both options would be very viable and complimentary to the caliber. Both options would work very well with the CVT. Supercharger for those of us that want lower end power without having to rev the engine up too much, and the turbo for those of us that like watching the RPM sit steady at 6000rpm while the turbo spins happily way producing some rediculious amount of power. I honestly believe that from a pure power standpoint, a CVT is the BEST pairing for a turbo. Why would't you want the engine to sit at it's optimal power band all the freaking time. :D
