I read that the Caliber's radio has MP3 CD capability. I have a couple questions for those of you with this radio.

1. Was it standard?
2. Can MP3 files be organized into folders on the CD, or do all of the files have to be placed into the root directory?
3. Do the tags display on the Radio unit?
4. If so, which components are displayed (e.g., Artist, Album, SongTitle, etc.)?

Thanks in advance.

Perhaps we should make a FAQ for stuff like stereos? Nothing against Tyke but the same questions keep popping up over and over : )
whoops. I searched but didn't see it. I'll search again and when find it, I'll request that a moderator switch this to the other thread.

Thanks

Tyke

EDIT

The search tool didn't work...I sifted the previous posts the original way...I read them. From that, I found the thread that discussed the details.

Thanks, OUWxGuesser for pointing out that this topic existed already.

It's all good. Just got to run a bit slower. This Caliber has me all rev'd up and I want-want-want.

The standard CD player will play MP3/WMA. It also as the auxiliary jack. The second level CD player has a six disc in-dash changer and MP3/WMA capabilities, but no auxiliary jack. The third level player adds the tape deck.

I know you made this post a week ago, but the standard/base CD player does NOT play mp3 files on a CD. The radio will play them through the aux-jack only.
