Took a little detour on my way back from Racine, WI last weekend. Stopped by the plant since I haven't been there in a long time. They were still building Neons the last time I was there! I was sad that there's not a "home of the Caliber" sign or something on the roof, but maybe if they keep making them, they'll do that. Anyways, here's some pics :)

That's a lot of Calibers/Compasses!

I really wish the plant would allow tours to the public. I think it would help build consumer support and interest for those that might be interested in buying one.

It's much warmer today than it was when you were here.

There are JEEP Patriots out in that lot too. :)

They dont allow tours? Why not? I know that MBUSI does now that the 07s are out and construction for plant 2 is over. (they cancelled them due to it)
I highly recommend it if anyone is in the area. BAP looks far different too!

I always like seeing the pictures of the plant, especially the lot and some inside ones.

IBUILDCALIBERSUAW1268: Are/ Or have you posted pictures of various locations of Calibers on the assembly line, or is that prohibited?

I've been in the plant twice :) Once on a walking tour and once on a tour on a golf cart. VERY cool :D I have a picture somewhere of my Neon on the assembly line during the huge Mopar gathering they have at the plant every year. I should dig that up ;)

I'm not allowed to take any pictures inside the plant, sorry.

DCX has allowed others to take pictures so lets look at those. :)

Google is your friend I found these below. Notice the white blocks of foam on the sides of the doors to keep them from getting any chip paint or door dings. They do have to get parked close to each other in the lot so this foam really helps customer qualily for the finished product.
