I got the call Tuesday morning that my Sunburst Orange SXT Sport was in.
Picked her up around 4:30, and it is awesome!!!!!
My husband suprised me with the chrome gas cap, which the dealer had to point out because I was just so excited it was finally here and I was looking at it...all mine, hehehe.
I took a few pix while the sun was shining. Notice the body colour grille. For some reason it came that way, and I got $45 off because of that. I actually like it better, so BONUS!

Can you tell me how the seating position/height is in the Caliber?

I currently have a Toyota Matrix and the seat height is pretty high, kinda feels like Im in a mini-van.

All SXT's built since April 8,2006 have a Body colour grill. No more Chrome.

I am getting the chrome has door on my caliber tommorow

Do you know why the chrome is gone from the SXT's? Is it only available on the R/T or is it being put on the base model and then body color on the more exepensive models (flip flopping from originals)? Just curious.

wtf...my caliber BETTER have the chrome grill! my dealer called me back and said dodge manufacturing called to inform me that it was in the "process" of being built on 28th of march and recently shipped on april 26th. PLEASE tell me i got a damn chrome grill...it looks TOO plain without it...

Can you tell me how the seating position/height is in the Caliber?

The seats are adjustable (on SXT and R/T), so i guess if you jack them up it would feel high. I have them as low as they will go (i'm 5'10" and my husband is 6'1") and we find them perfect. The only thing with the seats is I find the levers on the side awkward to reach.

My dealer has a guy that does tinting for them (he did our RumbleBee) and we like his work, so I requested the tinting when I ordered the caliber. I didn't want to have to give it up once I got it, and they had it ready for me the day after it was delivered. I was going to call them back with percentages I wanted, after some discussion in another thread, but it was half done by the time I thought of it.

All SXT's built since April 8,2006 have a Body colour grill. No more Chrome.

Mine was built on April 6th, so I guess I got lucky, since I like it better.
RiCEADDiCTBOY, if you like the chrome tell your dealer. When I saw a couple SXT's on the lot with body colour grilles I when in and asked about it. My dealer said he would change it for me if it came with the chrome, so yours may do the same.


Oh, one other note on gas. I have driven about 300 miles and my average is 26 and rising. I know it is the first tank but I think that is pretty good.

As for chrome vs. body color grille, maybe we need to set up an exchange on here to trade grilles to match preference. I have a chrome, willing to swap for a red! jk

Curious. I'm glad I got one with the chrome grill-crosshairs. It would be awesome if we could have a choice of chrome and or body-colored side mirrors and door handles

so wait, if i ordered mine and paid for the chrome grill am i getting the chrome grill?? cause i want my effing chrome grill man... waiting for this effing car is driving me insane!! they friggin said it'd be there on effing friday and the effing thing wasn't there and i'm effing pissed!!!!
