I've seen a couple of posts about the driver's door/radio cutoff, etc.

I am interested to know how the car knows the door is open or closed. Is there a magnetic sensor of some kind because there is no switch. I noticed that the Door Ajar notice in the EVIC was not displaying after I noticed the radio would not sut off nor the doors unlocking like they used to when opening the door.

I recently ran wires through the door jam for an XM Radio (power and antenna). After I had done this that is when the door did not register. Could it be possible that the wires are interfearing with the signal from the door being closed? Sounds stupid, but the timing is interesting. All was fine before this.

Also, I had to stuff the power adapter in with all the wiring behin the hood lever, so don't know if I jarred something loose.

Let me know, thanks.

FYI,
Took car to dealer. Seems there is a National Backorder for the door sensor and there is not a timeframe when they will be getting the replacement.
