Problems with rear window wiper!

So, I just purchased my dodge caliber approximately....42 hours ago. Anyways we got one of our many heavy rainstorms here in Kansas, and i turn on the rear windshield wipers and they were not moving back and forth like they should be. The blade would make one full cycle than stop about 3/4th the way from where it normally would stop. Sometimes it will stop in different areas but I was just wondering if anybody else has had this problem? I'm thinking it might have something to do with the switch because when I make the wiper fluid spray out, the wiper moves back and forth just fine. Help please and thank you!

The wiper parking is usually indicative of a problem in the actual motor. The park in the motor may be faulty.
You may want to physically check the wiper motor though, and make sure the ground is good. Ive never looked at these wiper motors, but they are sometimes self grounded, which means there is not a ground wire into the connector, but the motor is grounded by bolting onto the vehicle.

Yes it could still be the motor. Youd need a wiring diagram for the motor, but the circuit is usually different when you press the for the wiper fluid than when you just make it turn.

The motor is accessible once you remove the rear hatch panel.
