Anyone know how to remove the lower dash panel below the steering wheel?

I got it off to the point where I can see the air bag from behind and I can see 2 screws that look like they hold on the panel.

Any work instructions on the Calibers interior?

You could always hit the airbag sensor. That will gain you access to it!

well I like to take my car apart and I like to know how. I'm really trying to get better acesss to the ignition wires for a turbo timer install.

so with that kind of useless diagram, i dont wonder why some mechanics at dealer ships are idiots......i wonder how many of those panels have been broken because of those great instructions.

To Install a 10 point roll cage would have been the right answer

That panel just pops off the top then I think 2 screws on the bottom. That's only for the cover.

Of course the question begging to be asked is why do you need to take this off? What are you going to be doing down there?

In case anyone is interested, it is to get at the clutch master cylinder on a manual shift (5-spd. car) There are studs & nuts which attach it to the firewall. Also have to unhitch the cylinder push rod from the pedal arm. As others say, the manual is not helpful and when doing for the first time, one wants to avoid breaking pieces by forcing the wrong way. There is plenty of space on the page to show more detail and text. Too bad!!
