Shifter location in SRT-4

I sat in a reqular Caliber the other day, and the auto shifter is all the way to the frot by the dashboard. My question is, will the SRT-4 shifter be located in the same place as Caliber auto or will be like Neon SRT-4 in the center, where you don't have to reach forward?

Has anyone seen pic of the inside of SRT-4?
Thanks!

I don't know how close the manual shifter on the caliber is to the manual shifter that was on the civic si's that were on the dash... but i test drove one time and it was actually a pretty comfortable set up. not too bad of a reach and shifts real well.

that doesn't look too bad, but maybe it's just me, that steering wheel looks horrid.
yeah it is horrible, hell is that the srt's?
oh saw the boost gauge.
Am I the only one that doesn't like the boost gauge location? It's almost like they ran out of room on the dash and just stuck it where they could.

Those were my exact thoughts
There are a few things I dont really LOVE about the layout for the SRT-4 Caliber. The boost gauge just doesn't 'feel' right on the left. The steering wheel is BUTT UGLY, but then... that's compared to the awesome steering wheel in the Neon SRT4.

Either way, i'd GLADLY take in these shortcomings in exchange for all the other goodness this car will have over the Neon.
Is it possible that this is not a true/final production car pictures and the final car will have a better steering wheel and better location for the boost guage?

I've got an Si with the dash mounted shifter. The placement is a non-issue. It's not awkward at all.

The issue I see as a possible annoyance is placing the a/c controls right behind the shifter, instead of a little higher up.

not likely.... the boost guage is pretty well 100% going to be there, and the steering wheel looks like that because that is the steering wheel that ALL Calibers have.
Like insomniac, I also have an Si with the dash mounted shifter. I love it, perfect height, reach, and very hard to miss a shift. I also have a Subaru Forrester and the "normal" shifter in that feels so strange to me now. I actually prefer the dash-mounted.
Six on a tree! :D

I don't think that is the final set up at least not for the kicker system. I was told there is a good chance that the Kicker system and maybe the base will have steering wheel mounted volume and other controls hence the large flat spots on the wheel.
