I want to put in the sirius head unit in my R/T but not sure where it should go.
Is it in the dash or in the cargo area? Tried google to no avail and the dealers are cluless. The install kit is another $150 but states for a non cd changer radio, which I have a cd changer, so do I need it?

I have the 6-CD radio and I needed both kits when I added Sirius after the fact. Parts and labor came to a smooth five hundred bucks and a few cents. That's almost two times the price of the factory installation. However, the dealer installation is indistinguishable from a factory installation. I would not attempt the install on your own. The satellite antenna needs to be mounted in the middle of the roof about 2/3 the way toward the rear lift gate.
Here is the factory installation guide for installing the Mopar Sirius unit.

The instructions are similar to the Magnum installation. However, instead of butchering the car roof to install that wart antenna, I purchased one of the small magnetic Sirius antennas. Routed the mini coax along with the factory cable and set the antenna on top of the dash, forward next to the windshield. No dropout problems.

HUFF - How did you find that PDF on that site? Although my Sirius radio was already installed by my dealer I found it quite educational to read through that very good installation guide. I want to read more installation guides! Please reveal how to see more of them. Thank you.
I installed satellite on my 2001 Ram and 2004 Durango. In both cases I used a magnetic mount antenna and ran the wire all the way to the back above the headliner and exited out the center brake light bezel. No need to drop the headliner. Just tucked the wire into it along the edge past the rubber door moldings etc. Very easy. I haven't looked but this method may work for the Caliber as well rather than drilling a hole in the roof for the antenna.
