I have recently noticed the steering wheel makes a little "pop" pretty much every time I turn the wheel a decent amount (i.e. about 30 degrees in either direction). It's not really an audible sound, but you can feel it. Anyone know what I'm talking about or can explain this? It's really subtle, but once I started noticing it I couldn't stop...

I would turn the wheel which ever way you turn it when it makes this sound or you feel this pop. Turn the wheel as far as it will go, get out and check the clearance of the tires in reguards to the suspention, body etc etc. See if it rubbing anything. If not, then there may be something with in your stering rack.

Thanks, I'll check it out. At the least, I plan to mention this when I take it in to get the pinging problem and the chillzone vent fixed.

Thanks for sharing.. I was beginning to think I was the only "lucky" one with this problem! I haven't taken mine in yet, but will in the next couple weeks. My list of problems so far: the dreaded ping, chillzone vent, pop in the steering wheel, leaking rear washer fluid.

This is almost normal in Dodge vehicles. My past 4 03+ vehicles do this. You learn to ignore it or you take it in and try to have them fix it.

My escort used to do this, but all it was was a blinker reset. You put on the blinker, turn the wheel so far, you hear it click, and when the wheel comes back to straight, it pulls the blinker lever back to off. It was a loud click, too! I guess if there is anything like that on the Cali, I havent noticed it because of being used to a loud click already.
