how much power can the srt caliber handle, my srt, was handling 400 Hp just fine, just wondering if this car can handle about 500 - 600 HP with stock internals?
Id say it should because the neon srt's block was made with the thought of 230 daily driven horses. In this case 300.

alright smart ass, i was just asking a question and i need honest answers, you probably would not even know how to bolt a turbo up. I figured the car could handle 500 HP, but i would upgrade the internals and add some cams to give the snail a quicker spool, nothing outrages maybe a 12 or 14 grind cam.

Well come on the car isn't even OUT YET!!!! How is anyone going to know anything about it. ESPECIALLY what kind of power the internals can handle stock. It's a foolish question, it warranted a smart ass reply. I stand by my shenanigans.

Maybe you know, once the car is out, and there's been some time for tuner shops/individuals to test things out. Maybe THEN we'll have answers to those types of questions.

Yeah, I've heard of manufacturers giving out cars to certain tuners before..I think DCx did it with a few, don't recall which...:D

is it safe to assume that the Block itsself is what really matters when u want to know how much horsepower its capable of? Say i have my Engine super charged, and it runs, doesnt mean its its full potential, you can add power and expect everything to work right, there is so many things u'd have to change even going over 400hp, can ur horible shifting, affect how well the clutch holds up, damn right it will affect it. Ask yourselfs now what it can do on stock internals but what u can expect out of the block. with someone who knows what they are doing has money and connections u can get almost anything with insane amounts of power, but you lose reliability, driveability, and the though of a daily driver with 500+hp is kinda a waste of money tho it would be nice as hell, that smy 2 cents.

500 hp on a front wheel drive car on street tires is a waste. put slicks on it to gain some traction and that's a diff story. This is all speculation seeing as the car has not been released and the only person I think outside of dcs to drive one has been arroneon ( i think )

oh ya that was just for shizz and giggles....I took all that out at the track anyway, but it did end the debate to/or to not take the intake guide over the battery out. oh and the box amp and wires only weigh about 50-60 lbs.

It'll easily handle 700+ hp. I've got one that's turbo AND supercharged. It's a bit non-standard. But it makes a great noise! Stock everything btw!
and why would you do this???? It's illogical twin charging an engine. which ever one makes the most boost is going to determine the power level....and there is a good chance the turbo is boosting higher which means it could cavitate the s/c or the s/c is depresurizing the turbo's boost....I call BULL**** on this one... i dont understand why everyone would want to do this. Like the cobalt owners for one....http://hahnracecraft.com/ProjectVehicles/New_Folder/Cobalt/CobaltSS.htm
