ok, so i'm kinda embarassed to ask this question as i tend to know way more about this car than my friends... but then someone asked me the other day

"what's the speed control and what does it do?"

and all i could respond with was" ... ... ... uhm... "

so feeling even more stupid, i must ask everyone here and admit my lack of knowledge... please, someone make me smart again and help me out here...

my defunkt brain and i would really appreciate it.

It's for people who find driving a chore. It's usually used on the highway
for long trips and you don't want to keep your foot on the accelerator
pedal, ie) uncomfortable. The speed control helps gas mileage
for it keeps the speed constant(to a point) so you aren't speeding up
and slowing down, speeding up and slowing down.

Cruise control is soooo '90s, man! You gotta get with the times!

Besides, I think it has something to do with the fact that "speed control" means just that. Some people think that "cruise control" will drive the car for them.
