They should have kept the antenna that was on the concept . (the one the european market WILL get). Whats up with taking all the cool european stuff off the Caliber for the American market? Come on, its cheaper to make it one way.
nothing a trip to the local body shop can't fix....or just get the SRT-4 version.Xtreme Thunder said:It seems that they also get a painted grille and body color door moldings on the outside![]()
Thats what I am thinking.suzq044 said:hell, if it bothered anyone that much; they could always go euro & buy a conversion from someone![]()
It would affect the warranty on the parts you mod (the radio, perhaps the entire chassis electrical, and that body panel). If you have a dealership do the bodywork, that should smoothe over any warranty issue on the body panel.was98strat said:...
While I'm on the topic, any idea if modifying the sheetmetal. IE filling in the hole from where the antenna currently is and relocating it has any impact on any of the warranty??

You have to ask the dealer about that. But dont worry someone will make a shorty attena sooner or laterwas98strat said:Hello all,
newbie here!!! I'm looking seriously at the Caliber for purchase sometime in September (I want to wait out a few of the inevitable productin glitches)
But what's the story with the antenna. The rest of the car has quite good styling, but then there's that antenna sticking striaght up out of the right front fender! what is this 1980 again! looks like they forgot about the antenna and then went to Canadian Tire an picked something of the shelf!

Most shorty antennas already out will fit. Its just a matter of screwing it on. Almost all antennas are the same now days. You just need the right adapter and most aftermarket antennas come with several adapters.sr4tuner said:You have to ask the dealer about that.
