hello all, i’m new. <context> 2011 dodge caliber 127k miles frequently serviced. i have two issues here, first for as long as i can remember being around this car, the engine area has always “ticked” when on, it seems normal but have been told it isn’t by others, read on here could need new alternator even though it tested out good at shops, read it might be rod nock, and a bunch of other stuff. not too worried about that noise just curious. second recently i noticed a NEW knocking sound ONLY when in drive and stopped, kind of like a grinding knock, thinking timing belt? doesn’t seem to interfere with performance. annoying and stressful.
