The Dodge Caliber seems to be getting some negative feelings (pretty much everywhere) -- so, if you had the ability to make tweaks to the car (ranging from minor, to moderate) what would you change to make it more appealing?

You must make suggestions based on the following confines:

1. The drivetrain cannot be changed, the production is much too far along.

2. The "basic" look/frame of the car cannot be changed for the same reason as #1, but that doesnt mean many cosmetic things cant be done.

Yes I am here! I am here to make history and be superior to the newbies in 2 years ;) J/k, I just wish that dcx stuck with a normal but new platform for a sedan. It should be sleek and maybe a little "hip" like the new mazda 3s. But instead the Caliber just looks like an suv'que car. Granted there isn't much that can be done so I'd say they can make up for it by making the SRT version the real deal.

Yeah I'm here to!!! I'm on the ground floor BUHHAHAHAHA!!! In all seariousness tho I didn't like the Cailber at first, but the more i see the new photos and spy shots coming out the more and more it looks apealing. I wouldn't buy one tho. Even the SRT version dosn't fit 'my bill'. It just seems like it isn't a well balanced performing machine. Don't get me wrong tho they look decent....i guess we'll have to just see and wait. Just like the cobalt. No one really liked those, but after seeing one in person. I may have picked that up over the SRT if they had been out around the same time. The interior is way nicer. Leather was premium.

The caliber shots from sema that ekool took weren't to bad. Rally-ish. Thats my main concern. It may hall-ass in a straight line, but how will it perform on the circut? It looks like the center of gravity may be too high.

yeah looks a little too SUVish, but i would expect that Dodge knows that the neon/srt4 was a good autoX car and i would expect that the SRT4 version of the Caliber to be superior suspension wise, especially if they happened to make an ACR version :rolleyes: It'll be interesting to see if the power can overcome the weight/center of gravity...

I would change the SUV look. After several beers, it kinda', sorta' reminds me of a rallye version of GM's HHR.

After looking at Ekool's pics of the Caliber Rallye, my wife thinks they look awesome :eek:. I'll stick with my SRT.

Anyone heard anything about the sound system in this car? I mean, would you want nothing for weight loss, a basic sound system, or a 1 or 2 10' sub Livin' Loud package...i wouldn't mind seeing 2 10 inch subs since its an SUV, or maybe 2 12'....but thats just me personally, its already looking too heavy, 2 subs won't change too much...

If drive train is set, does that mean the car comes with ONLY CVT as described in the pdf from Dodge? (2 active pedals?). That could seriously limit upgrade power capacity. :eek: We would need at least a rugged 5 speed manual tranny as an option.:D

#1) No Lights in the grill....
#2) Lower the ride height atleast an inch.....
#3) Paint the Grill....Im not a fan of all that chrome.....
#4) For the SRT version...no more pizza cutting 6 in. wide tires.....
#5) For the SRT version....If they are goin to put viper seats in it....PUT THE DAM RACING HARNESS SLOTS IN ALL OF THE SRT VERSIONS....NOT ONLY THE ACR (if they plan to produce one).
