Heya Folks!
I'm still thrilled about the car after a month of ownership.
But......... I am not crazy about the handling on the standard 215/60/R17's. But because I leased the car, I cannot take the chance of putting ultra profile tires without speeding up my KMs/Miles which will cost an arm and a leg if I go over my quota by the end of my lease.
By doing the calculation, here are the tires/rims that will match the same height as the current stock setup:
- 255/50/R17
- 225/55/R18
- 255/45/R18
It appears that the Bolt size on the Caliber is 5X114.3 (But even Dodge/Chrysler could not even say for they had not recieved those specs yet ?!!? lol)
So I guess my question is, has anyone tried 255's on this car. I am just wondering if there would be some rubbing done when trying to turn or inside rubbing when doing a tight turn.
I am not a tire expert but I do my studying when I am interested in something. The only problem is that there is a serious lack of technical information on the wheels/tires from the Chrysler/Dodge side of the game.
If anyone has information, I would GREATLY appreciate your input as you seem to be the last/ONLY line of information on this car.
Cheers!
